We’re still ironing out the details on this. Everything is subject to change.

Since the ceremony and reception dinner are so small, this weekend will be the main opportunity for Brad to celebrate with his cohort of guy friends. The current plan is a night or two of not-too-primitive camping somewhere in Michigan; not aggressively far from the Metro-Detroit area.

We are planning a very small, private ceremony, and are hoping you’ll respect our wishes.

In front of our immediate families (who will be personally invited), Shelby and Brad will wed.

Dress code

Please dress for the weather.

Afterward

There’s a pretty solid chance we’ll all go out to dinner afterward, so if you’re invited to the ceremony it’s probably advisable not to make elaborate plans for that evening.

This event is expressly by invitation only, with RSVP required.

Come join us to celebrate! Italian dinner and lots of ambiance.

Dress code

Dressy casual preferred? Like, what you’d wear to go to a nice dinner, knowing that some people there will be really dressed up, but other people might just be in their nicest jeans. A sweet spot between there that matches your personality.

If you want to wear a white dress, you can, though it is after Labor Day, so… All we ask is that you don’t wear anything outrageous.

Gifts and other things

It’s not a big venue, so please do not bring in any gifts or other large items without discussing it with us first.

After-party

When we get kicked out of Pop’s, we’re all 100% definitely going to Rosie O’Grady’s across the street for some nightcaps and dancing. Please bring your dancing shoes, and join us if you can stay out that late.

We will either designate a restaurant that serves brunch within a few miles of the reception dinner venue for everyone to meet at, or will have an open house-style brunch at a private residence.

In either event, any friends or family are welcome to come, regardless of whether you were invited to the other events. We would love to see you!
